This a space where I talk about what’s it’s like being a millennial Muslim in the western part of Nigeria, majorly Lagos & Ibadan. By trying to bring relativity & education to both Muslims & Non- Muslims

POST
RAMADAN

What comes next?

FAITH: Welcome

To be very honest, this Ramadan was probably one of my worst. Because (oh yeah, I start my sentences with because, because I can) of a couple of factors, majorly me being in my final year. Juggling exams, my project and design proposals, as well as my writing.  I know all of this doesn’t seem like valid excuses, but during Ramadan I like being home, isolated from the world while strengthening my Deen. Hopefully, the next one would be as elite as the lockdown Ramadan.
Oh and yeah Ramadan isn’t the time where you get meat from your Muslim friends sorry.
The struggle to stay awake after eating sahur, to pray fajr isn’t talked about enough.
After Ramadan Muslims are expected to fast for 6 days during the month of Shawaal. There are 12 months in the Muslim calendar, Ramadan also being one of them. I like to do this right off the bat after Ramadan, cus if I don’t I will most likely forget. Once that is done and dusted (yeah I know so many corny lines). My regular daily routine takes effect
